City of London Arjun was very kind and showed us many places we would have just run past if we were exploring the city alone! I highly recommend him as a tour guide and hope to meet him again some time. We learned a lot about the city and about money and its history.

Stories of dragons, romans, ancient trees; a phoenix here and a magician there. Ancient religions, the occult and building blocks of civilisations. Every step took us through mythology, etymology and history and all with a glint in the eye and humour that matched ours. Deeply, hugely enjoyable. I particularly liked the pace of this tour, and that there was a lovely balance of exciting mysticism with real history. The sights themselves were for the most part easy on the eye and full of history, including places such as the guildhall art gallery and st Lawrence jewry church. We concluded at the bank of England where the guide explained in depth the symbolism of the twelve ornate lampposts in the square, each one representing one of the twelve most important ancient guilds of the City.
