Our tour guide Mr Arjun, a prolific researcher and storyteller, dotted the landscape and ancient buildings with characters, events and turning points. Through various artefacts, he traced the origins of the financial capital of the world, and innumerable quests for power and influence. This was a very informative and thought-provoking tour and I would highly recommend it! read less

We went on a Sunday, two stops on the journey were closed but this was made up in extra time at other sites and images provided of the closed venues. He is symbolic of the difference between a good tour and a boring one and regaled us with tales, facts and stats as if they were tattooed on his soul. Stories of dragons, romans, ancient trees; a phoenix here and a magician there. Ancient religions, the occult and building blocks of civilisations. Every step took us through mythology, etymology and history and all with a glint in the eye and humour that matched ours. Deeply, hugely enjoyable. I genuinely cannot recommend Arjent’s tours enough – and we WILL be returning for more of the same. Thank you, mate. We also stopped by the Mithraeum and did the immersive experience (I had been before but it was really nice to go again with a guide). You can tell Arjun has really thought through the route and the stories he tells. We had a lovely chat afterwards too, he has a lot of time for questions and feedback.

Arjun is exceptionally knowledgeable, but what really sets him apart is how he structures the experience. Rather than just pointing out sites, he weaves a cohesive narrative that charts the origin story of the City of London, from its early roots through its rise as the financial capital of the world.
What made the experience especially memorable was how personal he made it. He took the time to understand my interests and background and tailored parts of the tour to align with them, which made everything feel much more engaging and relevant. He also provided a comprehensive PDF guide afterward, which was an unexpected bonus. It neatly recaps the places we visited and the broader historical narrative.
On top of all that, Arjun is incredibly personable and kind; just a genuinely great person to spend a few hours with.
Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting London.
